Wat we vaak over het hoofd zien, is dat de timing van de dingen die we doen een groot deel uitmaakt van het effectief gebruiken van onze tijd.<\/p>\n    <p>We doen bepaalde taken beter op verschillende momenten van de dag, omdat onze stemmingen en prestaties door de dag heen vari\u00ebren.<\/p>\n    <p>We doorlopen de dag in drie fasen &#8211; een piek, een dal en een herstel. En de meesten van ons gaan er in die volgorde doorheen. Degenen onder ons die sterke nachtbrakers zijn, komen vaak in omgekeerde volgorde terecht. Je ziet ook een stemming patroon dat hetzelfde soort traject volgt, waarbij we &#8216;s ochtends een hogere energielevel hebben. Het daalt in de vroege namiddag en stijgt dan weer laat op de dag. In de ochtend, tijdens de piek, blinken de meesten van ons uit in werk waar concentratie voor nodig is: analytisch werk dat scherpte en waakzaamheid vereist. Het dieptepunt is goed voor routinematig administratief werk. Later op de dag, tijdens het herstel, doen de meesten van ons het beter op inzicht en creatief werk dat minder oplettendheid en inzet vereist. Een betere stemming met minder remming kan leiden tot geweldige idee\u00ebn.<\/p>\n    <p>Het tijdstip van de dag in je voordeel gebruiken kan leiden tot veel betere beslissingen en minder fouten.<\/p>\n    <p>Een andere manier om gebruik te maken van de tijdsindeling is door middel van regelmatige rustpauzes. De meest voorkomende opvatting is dat &#8216;amateurs&#8217; pauzes nemen en professionals niet. En het is precies omgekeerd. Professionals nemen pauzes, amateurs niet. Pauzes maken een groot deel uit van hoe je je door de dag heen beweegt en voelt.<\/p>\n    <p>Pauzes kunnen zo simpel zijn als opstaan, je armen en benen schudden, je spieren aanspannen en je lichaam bewegen voordat je weer gaat zitten. Je kunt ook de 20-20-20 regel volgen: voor elke 20 minuten die je aan een taak besteedt, besteed je 20 seconden om naar iets op 6 meter afstand te kijken.<\/p>\n    <p><strong>Een paar tips voor herstelgerichte pauze:<\/strong><\/p>\n    <ul>\n        <li>Iets doen is beter dan niets doen. Hoog presterende mensen werken twee\u00ebnvijftig minuten en nemen dan zeventien minuten pauze. Ander onderzoek heeft aangetoond dat pauzes verspreid over inspannende taken de vermoeidheid verminderen en de productiviteit verhogen.<\/li>\n        <li>Je lichaam bewegen is beter dan stilstaan. Om het uur vijf minuten wandelen kan het energieniveau verhogen, de focus aanscherpen, de stemming gedurende de dag verbeteren en het gevoel van vermoeidheid in de late namiddag verminderen.<\/li>\n        <li>Sociaal contact is heel belangrijk. Praten met collega&#8217;s over iets anders dan werk is effectief om stress te verminderen en de stemming te verbeteren. We zijn gemaakt om ons te verbinden en in een groep te zijn. Gebrek aan verbondenheid kan leiden tot een veelheid aan geestelijke gezondheidsproblemen.<\/li>\n        <li>Buiten is veel beter dan binnen. Als de zon tevoorschijn komt, probeer dan een wandeling te maken met wat frisse lucht. Luister naar een podcast of je college of neem een vergadering terwijl je buiten wandelt.<\/li>\n        <li>Volledig ontkoppeld is beter dan half ontkoppeld. Techvrije pauzes verminderen emotionele uitputting.
